“The provider I saw was caring during my time with her, but the administrative side of this practice has been extremely frustrating and disorganized. The portals have been confusing and unreliable, and they have changed portals at least twice since I began receiving care here, in addition to changing the practice name once. Most recently, I spent over 45 minutes trying to access what I believed was a telehealth appointment (stated on the email), only to find out that the appointment information I had received was incorrect. When I called for help, I was forwarded to voicemail. Someone did eventually call me back, but by that point the situation was already very frustrating. I was then told my fee would be waived and that I could come in next week, but I was also informed that the appointment had been moved to in person because my provider is moving away. That is something that should have been clearly communicated ahead of time, especially when controlled-substance prescriptions and continuity of care are involved. Patients should not have to spend nearly an hour trying to access a portal or telehealth visit just to learn important information that should have been shared proactively. While I appreciated my provider’s care, the lack of clear communication, unreliable portal systems, incorrect appointment reminders, and poor administrative follow-through are unreasonable. This practice needs better communication processes and more reliable patient support.”
